Tymwa Dixon, M.D. has a passion for family medicine. As a child, he became intrigued with the idea of caring for people of all ages. He pursued his goal of becoming a physician throughout his academic career, starting at Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana Tech University and then his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport. He completed a residency in family medicine at Baton Rouge General Medical Center.
Dr. Dixon has developed expertise in treating chronic diseases and acute disease states such as hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia; and is fully qualified to care for all patients from children to the elderly.
Dr. Dixon and his wife have three children and make their home in Shreveport.
